BiographyThis is Corey Mackin’s first season with the Americans. Before the Philadelphia PA native ever went pro, he spent four seasons at Ferris State University. The last two seasons he attended Ferris State, he was named team captain. Completed his junior campaign with 25 points (10g), which was tied for first among Bulldogs...During his sophomore campaign, received WCHA All-Second Team honors and finished with personal NCAA highs of 13 goals and 26 points...During the 2015-16 season, scored 25 points (10g) as a freshman, was selected WCHA Rookie of the Year and helped Ferris States reach the NCAA Elite Eight as the team won the WCHA Broadmoor Trophy (WCHA Postseason Conference Champions). Before Ferris State: Named 2014-15 CJHL MVP, leading the BCHL in goals (50) and points (104) with Coquitlam....Honored by the BCHL as a finalist for the league’s Most Sportsmanlike Player Award in 2014-15.
