Biography
A native of Thornton, Colorado, Salazar has spent the past four seasons playing in Europe, after enjoying a four-year career at the University of Denver. The 5-foot-7, 160-pound forward amassed 176 points in 211 games overseas, including stops in Norway, Sweden, Austria and most recently with the Manchester Storm of the EIHL, where he posted 23 goals and 39 assists in 61 games last season.
A 2007 graduate of Legacy High School in Broomfield, Salazar generated 88 points in 140 games at the NCAA level with the Pioneers, including a career-high 30 points in 42 games during his senior season. He was also named to the WCHA All-Academic Team on three different occasions.
In just two seasons at the junior level, Salazar netted 51 goals and 59 assists in 119 games with the Wichita Falls Wildcats. In his final season in the NAHL, Salazar led the league with 41 goals in 58 games
