Biography
2008-11- Appears in 148 career junior games with Yellowstone (NPHL), Kenai River (NAHL), Wenatchee (NAHL) and Des Moines (USHL), totaling 157 points (76 goals, 81 assists). 2010-11- Led Des Moines in goals (24) and tied for team lead in points (35). 2011-16- Skates in 107 games for Bowling Green State (CCHA, WCHA), recording 44 points (12 goals, 32 assists). 2012-13- Records career high in games (41), points (22), goals (8) and assists (14). 2014-15- Transitioned from forward to defenseman as a junior at BGSU. 2015-16- Plays with Toledo after competing college career, totaling nine points (three goals, six assists) in 29 games. 2016- Makes Kalamazoo’s opening night roster after professional tryout.
2019-20: Mingo, 29, returns for his third season in Jacksonville after posting career-highs in points (40), goals (11) and assists (29) last season. Mingo’s consistent play earned him a call-up with the AHL’s Manitoba Moose, appearing in three games. The 5-9, 180-pound blueliner was selected to the 2019 ECHL All-Star Classic posting two goals, where he posted two goals, an assist and scored the tournament-clinching goal in the shootout to help guide the Eastern Conference All-Stars to the tournament championship. Mingo has totaled 94 points (25g, 69a) in 219 career ECHL games in stints with Jacksonville, Kalamazoo Wings and Toledo Walley from (2015-2019). The Canton, MI native recorded 44 points (12g, 32a) in four collegiate seasons at Bowling Green State University from 2012-2016.
