Biography
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound center won an ECHL Championship in 2016 with the Allen Americans, collecting 47 points in 58 regular season games and adding another 16 points in 24 playoff contests.
The former 3rd round pick of the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2007 NHL Draft has posted 344 points in 406 ECHL games and was named to the ECHL All-Star Game in 2013, which was played at the Budwieser Events Center in Loveland, Colorado. In addition, Pierro-Zabotel has also appeared in 17 AHL contests, netting one goal and two assists with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, Charlotte Checkers and Norfolk Admirals.
The Kamloops, British Columbia native enjoyed a highly-decorated career at the major junior level, leading the WHL in assists (79) and points (115) in 72 games during his final season with the Vancouver Giants. He would also be named to the WHL and CHL West All-Star Teams during that same season. In total, Pierro-Zabotel would generate 163 points in 121 WHL contests. Prior to that, he was named the Most Valuable Player of the BCHL in 2007 when he amassed 116 points in just 55 games with the Merritt Centennials.
