Biography

2017-18

  • Made his NHL debut with Anaheim, collecting two points (0-2=2) in seven games…also appeared in his second AHL season with San Diego, scoring 10-24=34 points with 22 PIM in 51 games.
  • Led San Diego defensemen in points, goals and assists, setting new AHL career highs in those categories…In addition, he ranked second on the club in PPG (7).
  • Made his NHL debut and earned his first career NHL point (assist), Dec. 11, 2017 vs. Carolina.
  • Collected an assist in each of his first two NHL games to become the first Ducks rookie to record a point in his first two career games since Alex Grant (Nov. 30-Dec. 11, 2013), Dec. 11-14, 2018.
  • Became the seventh player drafted by Anaheim in 2011 NHL Draft to play in at least one NHL game...the other players were Rickard Rakell (first round, 30th), John Gibson (second round, 39th), William Karlsson (second round, 53rd), Joseph Cramarossa (third round, 65th), Max Friberg (fifth round, 143rd) and Josh Manson (sixth round, 160th).
  • Was named to his first AHL All-Star Game as the lone representative of the Gulls…scored one goal for the Pacific Division.
  • Appeared in three Stanley Cup Playoff contests with the Ducks, going scoreless.

 

Career

  • Originally signed a two-year entry-level contract with Anaheim, Apr. 4, 2016…signed a one-year, two-way contract with Anaheim, July 17, 2018.
  • In his first professional season with San Diego, collected 6-23=29 points with a +4 rating and 16 PIM in 63 games to lead club defensemen in assists, and ranked second in goals and points.
  • Scored the first hat trick in Gulls history, and tied the club record for points in a game (3-1=4), Mar. 31, 2017 @ Tucson.
  • Concluded his collegiate career at Minnesota-Duluth (NCHC/WCHA) with 24-53=77 points and 144 PIM in 154 games.
  • Scored 21-30=51 points with a +45 rating and 51 PIM in 105 games with the Green Bay Gamblers (USHL).
  • Won the Clark Cup with the Green Bay in 2011-12, scoring 2-2=4 points in 12 postseason contests, including 1-1=2 points in the Final…was named USA Hockey Junior Player of the Year, USHL Defenseman of the Year, and the First All-Star Team in 2011-12.
